Born in the tropical islands of the Philippines, Emma Farrarons was raised in Paris. After art school, she made her way to London to pursue her love for illustration, surface patterns and book design. Alongside her illustration work, Emma is also a children's picture book designer at the wonderful Macmillan Children's Books.
Emma was trained in illustration at the Edinburgh College of Art and l'École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs. Having completed a textile and printmaking course at Capellagården in Sweden, she has developed a particular love for the art of pattern repeat and fabric print. Her favourite art mediums are Japanese kanji calligraphy pens, marker pens, graphite and colouring pencils.
