ABOUT EMMA:
Emma Farrarons is a best-selling author and illustrator whose Mindfulness Colouring series has brought calm and creativity to over a million people worldwide. Based in South London, she carries a sketchbook wherever she goes—on commutes, outdoor adventures, and especially at home with her children—transforming everyday moments into visual stories.
Born in Cebu, Philippines, and raised in Paris, Emma fondly remembers childhood weekends perched on a trolley in a hypermarket bookshop, absorbed in Asterix and Obelix while her mother shopped and her brothers read alongside her.
Before fully embracing illustration, Emma spent over 16 years designing picture books at Macmillan Children’s Books. Her debut as a picture book illustrator, My Hair is as Long as a River, written by Charlie Castle, was published in May 2024 and shortlisted for the 2025 Klaus Flugge Prize. She is currently working on exciting new titles with Simon & Schuster, Rocket Bird Books, and Walker Books, while also exploring her passion for Riso printing.
